RSO Email Requests and Access Management

To ensure accurate and secure access to shared email accounts for Registered Student Organizations, all requests to add or remove users must be submitted through the appropriate forms:

This process helps us maintain correct access as RSO leadership transitions over time.  All RSO accounts are managed by the Student Involvement and Leadership Team.

Accessing a Shared Mailbox

Please note: RSO shared mailboxes can only be accessed by delegate users who are signed into Outlook with their primary UARK account.

Trademark & Licensing for Registered Student Organizations (RSOs)

Registered Student Organizations (RSOs) may request permission to use certain University of Arkansas trademarks on specific items and for specific purposes. Approval is required before ordering any item that includes University trademarks, logos, or other intellectual property.
 
Please allow at least 2 weeks for review and processing.  Do not place your order until your Trademark Request Form has been approved.
 

Before You Order

  • All items featuring University of Arkansas intellectual property (IP), including logos, wordmarks, and trademarks, must be produces by a licensed vendor.
  • View the list of licensed vendors:  https://clc.com/license-search/
  • The official university color is PMS 201C.
  • Color modifications may be permitted with prior approval (for example, a pink Razorback logo for a breast cancer awareness event). 
  • The outline of Razorback Athletics marks should always be darker than the body color of the Hog.
  • "Razorbacks" is always plural.
  • The Razorback logo should run to the right unless a special circumstance requires otherwise.

RSO Trademark Policy

General Rule

University trademarks may be approved for specific promotional items, apparel, and event-related materials.  However, trademarks may not be used as part of a student organization's permanent logo or branding.  Organizations should develop logos that do not incorporate University trademarks. 

Permitted Uses

All uses require case-by-case review and approval through the Trademark Request Form.

RSOs may request approval to use: 

  • "RSO Name at the University of Arkansas®"
  • The word "Arkansas®"
  • The official Razorback logo (running hog or helmet logo)
  • The approved Razorback caricature (internal organizational use only; not permitted for retail sales or fundraising purposes)
Not Permitted

The following uses are not allowed:

  • Academic logos, including trademarked phrases, graphics, symbols, and departmental branding.
  • University marks paired with third-party organizations, sponsors, or businesses unless connected to an approved campus program or event.
  • Branding or sponsorships that conflict with University policy, contracts, licensing agreements, or existing partnerships.
  • Any University trademark, logo, or intellectual property not specifically listed as permitted above. 

This includes, but is not limited to: 

  • Academic logos and their variants, including UA and U of A
  • HOGS™
  • WOOO PIG SOOIE®
  • Images of Old Main® or other camus buildings and landmarks
  • Vault marks
  • The  University of Arkansas seal 
    Note: "University of Arkansas®" may only be used as part of an approved organization identifier, such as "RSO Name at the University of Arkansas®"

  • Non-discrimination policy
    Registered Student Organizations must comply with the University's nondiscrimination policies. 
  • Commercial Solicitation Policy
    Businesses and other outside entities may not market products, services, sponsorships, or sales opportunities to Registered Student Organizations without prior University approval.  Inviting an outside speaker, presenter, or business representative to attend a meeting may be permissible; however, any solicitation, sales activity, sponsorship proposal, or promotional activity must comply with the Commercial Solicitation Policy.
